Preparation and Application Instructions

1. Substrate Preparation

Make sure the tiles are firmly bonded and that the adhesive or bedding has dried in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The joints must be dry, free of dust and adhesive residues, and of a uniform depth of at least two thirds of the tile thickness.

2. Preparing the Mix

Pour about three quarters of the required amount of water into a clean container, gradually add the grout powder and mix with a mixer at low speed, approx. 400 rpm.

Add the remaining water gradually until a smooth, uniform, lump-free mixture is obtained. Keep the water ratio consistent between batches to prevent shade differences.

3. Applying the Grout

Fill the joints using a rigid rubber float, working diagonally across the joints, making sure they are filled completely and evenly.

Immediately remove excess material from the surface of the tiles.

4. Cleaning After Application

Begin cleaning when the grout is touch-dry within the joint. Use a large damp sponge and clean water, clean with circular movements and finish with diagonal wiping, without pulling material out of the joints.

5. Protection After Application

Protect the grout from direct rain and direct sunlight for at least 12 hours. Using material from the same production batch throughout the job is recommended for maximum shade consistency.

Coverage – Common Examples

Grout consumption depends on the tile dimensions, the tile thickness and the joint width. Below are examples from the manufacturer’s table:

Tile size Tile thickness 2 mm joint 3 mm joint
20×20 cm 8 mm 304 g/m² 456 g/m²
30×30 cm 10 mm 253 g/m² 380 g/m²
30×60 cm 10 mm 190 g/m² 285 g/m²
60×60 cm 10 mm 126 g/m² 190 g/m²
60×120 cm 5 mm 47 g/m² 71 g/m²
120×120 cm 5 mm 31 g/m² 47 g/m²

Standards and Certifications

The product meets classification CG2 WA per ISO 13007-3, indicating an improved cementitious grout with high abrasion resistance and reduced water absorption.

In addition, the manufacturer’s specifications list GEV-Emicode EC1 Plus certification, an EPD environmental declaration, an A+ emissions rating and tests for resistance to bacteria and mould per ISO 846:2019.
