Preparation and Application Instructions
Substrate preparation: make sure the joint edges are completely dry and free of dust, grease, rust and loose parts. It is recommended to protect the edges of the joint with masking tape to achieve a straight, clean sealing line.
Cartridge preparation: the silicone is ready to use. Cut the cartridge nozzle at a 45-degree angle according to the joint width and insert the cartridge into a suitable silicone gun.
Application: fill the joint continuously and evenly, ensuring full contact and adhesion to the joint edges. For a smooth finish, a suitable smoothing tool dipped in soapy water can be used.
Joint design: match the width and depth of the seal to the expected movement. In deep joints, use a polyethylene backer rod to prevent adhesion to the bottom of the joint and allow proper movement.
After application: remove the masking tape immediately after smoothing. The silicone cures with atmospheric moisture, so do not apply it in completely sealed spaces.
Important: the product cannot be painted. During curing it releases acetic acid, which may irritate the skin and eyes. Avoid contact with sensitive materials and carry out a suitability test before application.
