Why this product

Faced stone wool with a density of 80 kg/m³ suits situations where you want both good acoustic performance and a product you can leave exposed or use as part of a designed acoustic system.

It is an ideal solution for offices, studios, public spaces and rooms with reverberation problems.

Technical product description

ROCKWOOL stone wool with a density of 80 kg/m³ is made from natural basalt and processed into mineral fibres with an open structure, which allows it to absorb sound energy and reduce sound reflections in the space.

The material is wrapped in a protective facing (fabric/fibreglass/aluminium, depending on the model), which:

  • Prevents fibre shedding
  • Improves mechanical durability
  • Allows a clean, exposed installation

The product acts as a sound absorber and is used mainly to reduce reverberation (echo) and improve sound quality in interior spaces.

In addition, the material is non-combustible (Class A1) and has very high fire resistance.

Applications

  • Acoustic wall panelling
  • Acoustic ceilings
  • Studios and music rooms
  • Offices and meeting rooms
  • Halls and public buildings
  • Plant rooms (for internal absorption)
