Key advantages
- Particularly high impact noise reduction
- Significantly improved sound insulation between floors
- Improved acoustic performance
- Natural, eco-friendly material
- High flexibility and excellent recovery
- Does not compress over time
- Does not release toxic gases in the event of fire
Why this product
10 mm cork is designed for situations where there is a significant noise problem between floors, or when you want to achieve higher acoustic performance.
It is an ideal solution for noisy apartments, high-spec renovations and projects that require a noticeable improvement in acoustics.
Technical description
The product is made of natural compressed cork (Agglomerated Cork), consisting of 2–4 mm cork granules with a polyurethane binder.
Its closed-cell structure with air pockets provides:
- Shock absorption
- Vibration damping
- Footfall noise reduction
A 10 mm thickness provides a thicker resilient insulation layer, improving noise reduction compared with thinner products.
In various flooring systems, improved values can be achieved for:
- Higher IIC (improved footfall noise performance)
- An overall improvement in perceived quiet between floors
In addition, the material provides supplementary thermal insulation.
Applications
- Under parquet
- Under floating floors
- Apartments and residential buildings
- Buildings with noise problems between floors
- Offices and commercial spaces
- Damping of light vibrations
Technical specifications
- Material type: compressed cork (Agglomerated Cork)
- Thickness: 10 mm
- Structure: 2–4 mm cork granules
- Noise reduction: up to approx. 20 dB ΔLw (system-dependent)
- Thermal conductivity: approx. 0.038–0.040 W/(m·K)
- Density: approx. 150–220 kg/m³

- Made in: Portugal
Installation
- Lay on a flat, clean surface
- Install under parquet / floating floors
- Can be glued down or loose-laid
- Butt the sheets tightly together with no gaps
Important: the greater the thickness, the more important it is to keep the surface even for optimal performance.
