Advantages
- Reduced noise transmission (sound insulation)
- Effective sound absorption
- Suitable for harsh outdoor conditions (UV, rain, humidity)
- Strong, durable structure that lasts for years
- Modular solution – quick and easy to install
- Suitable for both industrial and private use
- Minimal maintenance
Technical description
The acoustic fence is a modular system comprising a high-density ROCKWOOL stone wool (rock wool) core, installed within a European pine structure treated in accordance with EN 335.
The structure includes:
- Exterior timber cladding that acts as an acoustically semi-permeable layer
- A sound-absorbing stone wool core with high airflow resistivity
- A rigid frame that helps reduce sound transmission
The system works through a combination of:
- Absorption of sound waves
- Reduced sound transmission (transmission loss)
- Reduced sound reflections from the surface
This enables effective treatment of environmental noise, including traffic noise and industrial noise.
Applications
- Acoustic fencing for private homes
- Road noise reduction
- Separation between neighbours
- Industrial zones and factories
- Railway stations and infrastructure
- Technical facilities and plant rooms
- Commercial areas
