Key advantages
- Reduces impact (footfall) noise to a greater extent
- Improves sound insulation between floors
- Natural, environmentally friendly material
- Flexible, with high recovery
- Does not crumble or settle over time
- Improves walking comfort and the feel of the floor
- Resistant to moisture and wear
- Why this product
6 mm cork is suited to situations that call for greater acoustic improvement than thinner solutions provide.
It is ideal for apartments, renovations and buildings where you want a noticeable reduction in footfall noise between floors.
Technical description
The cork sheet is made from compressed natural cork granules (Agglomerated Cork), which have a closed-cell structure with millions of microscopic air pockets.
This structure provides:
- Shock and vibration damping
- Footfall noise reduction (Impact Sound)
- Attenuation of sound transmission through the floor
A 6 mm thickness improves absorption and sound insulation performance compared with thinner gauges, while retaining flexibility and durability.
The cork offers high recovery after compression, ensuring stable performance over time, even under load.
In addition, the material provides complementary thermal insulation and helps improve comfort in the space.
Applications
- Under parquet
- Under floating floors
- Apartments and residential buildings
- Offices and commercial spaces
- Renovations and floor-lowering works
- Damping of light vibrations
